WASH

WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Awareness Program

Create awareness about sanitation issues and generate demand for solutions

India is the second most populous country in the world and much of the population resides in urban areas. The urban population has been increasing rapidly, putting stress on water and sanitation services. Inadequate water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions exist in India resulting in exceedingly high numbers of diarrhea-related deaths in children under five and other health related issues for a large sector of the population.

The Missionaries of Mercy strives to improve access to clean water as part of its interventions aimed at saving lives and reducing illness by improving global access to healthy and safe water, adequate sanitation, and improved hygiene. Promoting better hygiene practices such as good hand washing in communities and institutions, such as schools, is our goal.

Join us and increase access to clean water and better hygiene for all.
